Sometimes people pray in KNIGHT, or wonder what it does for them. I usually do this only for people who call out for the entities aid.Â
1. I roll effect die to determine how much the entity may aid - boosted by whether it's a favored enemy, prayed or sacrificed to recently, or so on.Â
2. The called entity can and will act, though it may seem subtle depending on the luck die. They act through their concepts, though - Math god of Magic does not aid a sword arm, but it may cause a magical event or just freakish luck - or simply direct focus to a helpful thing nearby or memory of a cunning trick.Â
3. If called upon, the entity requires sacrifice. This isn't immediate, but can have a cost; a character may need to go on pilgrimage, sacrifice wealth, and so on for the aid they gained. Whatever it was, if it isn't paid the entity can grow upset with the character, and plague them.Â
